Last night was another stuttering group meeting and it was great!
Haven’t seen the gang in 3 weeks, since we aren’t always able to make every meeting. So as you could imagine we had alot of catching up to do.
What do these meetings mean to me?
These meetings mean the world to me, even if they only happen twice a month. The other days of the week are usually comprised of school, which most often leads to stress and my stuttering increases as a result. During these group sessions I can openly express my personal feelings, struggles, and triumphs over the past two weeks whether it be stuttering or just day to day occurrences.
Last night in particular we talked about relationships, school, and any personal triumphs or missed opportunities due to our stutter.
We also played games such as Jenga and Uno, which were both very fun and everyone had a good laugh!
