How Would Life be if I Didn’t Stutter

Someone asked me that question recently and that has been joggling in my head. Well if I wasnt a stutter i think my life would be diffrent. I wouldnt have the friends that I have now and iI wouldnt be into videogames or psycology that much because i would have taken a diffrent path, so i am very glad that I stutter becaused I think of it as a gift and it helps me out alot. Yea some people say stuttering is bad or annoying, but you have to admit that it sure does guid u a little through life and it helps in choosing friends who are loyal and friends who are just fakes. I bet one person can say that im wrong because its true. Stuttering helps and impacts ur life alot; more than u know. I just wish i met more girls who stutter, their kind of cute but back to the topic. Stuttering is good, but doubting it is very very very bad. So here is the BIG QUESTION: would I be happy if my stuttering suddnely stop? I would not be happy because that is somthing that was apart of me for my whole life…….P.S. it cant go away if ur a stuttereur one for life and thatsw a good thing hehehehehe. you bros stay awesome and stay FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. I am so glad I have stumbled upon your blog! I am a stutterer. Though, I do pretty well now, I still on occasion have a tough time… especially if it is a hard syllable a the beginning of a sentence. I look forward to reading more. Thank you so much for writing! I look forward to reading more 🙂

    1. Thank you Mrs. Ipockolypse I love the name! I know who I’m coming to if zombies start attacking. We have loads of stories and experiences to share with the world, I enjoyed reading a few of your posts under your autism category as I have a few friends with Asperger’s plus they stutter. Lovely to see more advocates out their, great stuff! Welcome to our site, and on behalf of my team we hope you enjoy the ride through our eyes. 🙂

      Sincerely,

  2. I’m torn on this one, if I’m honest. I do believe I would have ended up writing anyway, but possibly not as early in life as I did. My stutter is less frequent now, but it’s still there, and the only people it bothers are the type of people who probably kick puppy dogs and hit women. In other words, people you want to avoid anyway.

    1. I agree Ger. Writing for me has always been a natural skill I’ve possessed, my stutter has allowed me more opportunities to write more, which made me start writing poetry and short stories at the age of 10. We all have our good and bad days with our fluency, we just have to ignore the negative comments people throw at us. There are individuals out there who would rather make fun of you then to listen to what you have to say. To be honest, my stuttering has increased due to stress and anxiety but I don’t let it stomp out my dreams and ambitions in life. The memories that I’ve made because of my stutter will always stay with me for the rest of my life. The friends that I’ve made and the joys that I’ve had while stuttering are the best for me. Going to go finish up my rough draft of my King’s Speech post, catch you guys later!

  3. I often wonder what life would be like if my stuttering wasn’t as severe as its been lately… On the contrary, if I didn’t stutter then I most likely would be the person I am today thanks to my stutter. *food for thought
